Sunny Days

Finally! It's hot. I see sun. I am so sick of a rain I could puke. Quite literally I am just tired of it. I hear it's supposed to be around 95 today. I am all for it. I am not so fond of the humidity they are saying will come along with it, but oh well. Take the good with the bad. I am tired of winter. We had so much snow this past winter starting way back in November. We had so much snow they didn't know what to do with it all. I am ready for swimming, sun tans, and vacations! :) I am sure there will be a fair share of parties this summer as well. Bring it on! :)

I have to admit, I am a little disappointed by the lack of spring. We went straight from cold to hot with only a week of beautiful spring weather. I want my spring back.

I can understand that Anne. I think it got really hot here fast too. I think it was first too cold and wet and then it got just downright hot. They are calling for a ton more storms here, some due to the heat and humidity. Ironic. I just want some really nice weather to go out in...take my kids out in, etc.

I spent the weekend watching my daughter play softball in 90 + degree weather with 35-40 mile an hour winds. I am sunburned (yes I did use sunscreen and sat in the shade!) and was so happy to stay indoors yesterday, out of the wind! I don't mind the heat, but I think I looked like a chia pet when all the dirt from the softball field blew and stuck to my sunscreened skin! LOL

Lynne that does sound uncomfortable! I guess I have had the luxory of coming and going as I please. I also have central air so that helps too. I get sunburned like that. No amount of sunscreen really stands up to that kind of constant heat. Love your description. lol

We, on the other hand, had a beautiful Spring. Somehow we avoided most of the bad weather. Even the NC tornados and damaging storms/winds avoided Winston-Salem. Lucky us!
Today it hit about 96 degrees. I think it was a record. I got in my car around 3PM and the thermometer said 101 degrees! I was loving the sauna!

haha I have to say Ferd, I absolutely love the warmth. I don't do well with cold! It makes me wonder why I live in Illinois. ;)

Honestly it's been raining like crazy here. Lots of tornadoes in the midwest as well. You are welcome Genny. I hope maybe it helps.
