TGIF! I Love Friday.

Follow my blog with bloglovin

I just signed up for this place called Bloglovin. Have you heard of it? I hadn't so go ahead and click the link and follow me! I'll follow back.

It's the end of another week. I am very glad to have the chance to lay back and relax. I have had tests and all kinds of things to do lately. I'll put my brain on pause until maybe sometime tomorrow anyway. I have more reading and studying to do.

Well now that I think about it I have a wedding tomorrow. I have to take my daughter in to the doc. My babysitter can't babysit this weekend so I am pretty much not able to go out with hubby this weekend. We wanted to go out for our anniversary. We'll still go out but just not when we wanted to. I have to read some Psychology. I am behind! I also need to catch up on Philosophy. Really I only need to study my notes and minimal book work for Criminology. Regardless I don't have to do this all at once or in a super hurried fashion. I have no tests or quizzes for awhile.

Anyway I saw a guy at school today in skinny jeans. I feel so few men can get away with this. Well a short guy with a long blond ponytail and a full huge beard really just cannot get away with it. haha

I am finding all kinds of fun things lately. Have fun with your pictures here: https://www.dumpr.net/.

I really had fun there!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Our 14th Wedding Anniversary

Today my hubby and I celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. I got married at the age of only 19. We even went to high school together. I didn't date him until he graduated though so we weren't really high school sweethearts. He dated a friend of mine! As soon as I knew he was available I asked him to a dance. We went to a Valentine's Day dance in February of 1993. After that we didn't see each other too much and I began dating someone else. That relationship ended within a few months and in December of 1993 my now hubby called and asked if I'd go with him to a work Christmas party. Of course I said yes. I remember it like it was yesterday. Our date was December 18th. We have been inseparable since.

He asked me to marry him the day before Mother's Day in May of 1995. He drove up this long winding road on a very big hill, parked the car and claimed he needed to use the restroom. We were in a park and it was raining. I began to settle in to wait for him to finish what he needed to do (haha) and then he opened my car door. He asked me to turn down the radio. The wipers were making a squeaking noise so he asked me to turn those off too. I did. I was confused by what he was doing and why he was not going to the bathroom! Then he got down on one knee on the soaking wet pavement. He pulled out a ring case and I knew. I cried. I loved this man more than anything and I knew I never wanted to lose him. I said yes. We were married on September 23rd 1995.

My love has changed, grown and been strengthened over the years. We have had our trials as all couples do but I feel they have only strengthened us in the long run. I know he is my soul mate.

Happy Anniversary to my hubby.

New Hair

I did post this on my other blog and you may have noticed in that pic of Gabbi and I. Here is my latest hairdo. I have gotten to where I like changing it up but it's still so odd to have dark hair in with my blond. The bangs are the most severe to me. I am not used to the dark color against my skin. I am getting used to it though. Thought I'd share pics!

Poor Gabbi and Her Shots

Waiting at the doctor's office. Poor baby doesn't know what's coming!
We had to put off her 18 month shots several times. Honestly I am glad. I am never anxious to do the shots but I firmly believe the benefits are worth it. I love my baby girl and want to do everything I can to protect her.

We did 3 shots today including her flu shot. The swine flu vaccine is not yet available but we will probably do that too when it comes out as long as it appears safe, which so far it does. Remember even if you are not at risk for health complications from the flu many people around you are. Someone with asthma could be at a higher risk for death from the flu. I am sure you know people who have asthma! My daughter Angelina does. I believe in the flu shot to help protect others not just myself. I will be around people say at my oncology follow ups. I don't want to get anyone sick going through chemo! I remember how afraid I was. We must really take everything into consideration when we act like it's no big deal. I hate it when people say they get the flu from the shot considering it's impossible. You can possibly get sick from the mist because it does contain a weekend virus but the shot is DEAD. There is no live virus in it at all. So you cannot get the flu from it contrary to popular belief. You may have a reaction or you may feel ill but it's either a coincidence or just a side effect.

Rant over! haha Anyway I am glad Gabbi has her flu shot now that she is in daycare I do worry about it. She is feeling some pain though. She keeps waking from her nap, crying a bit and falling back to sleep. That's unusual for her. I gave her ibuprofen before her shots. I hope she feels better by tomorrow!!
