Had a Great Weekend

I didn't really want to go far this weekend for fun because little Gabbi has been teething and therefore not too happy at night. It's odd how all day long she is all sunshine and roses but after just a couple of hours in bed she is awake, grumpy and hurting. I am positive it's her teeth. I gave her teething tablets at bedtime along with a little Motrin and she slept like a baby. OK. You know what that is the dumbest "saying" in the world isn't it? haha Anyone who has a baby knows that statement was created by someone who never had a baby. They don't sleep well at all. The point though is she seems better. Now if only those teeth would cut through the gums!
I ended up staying home on Friday night but Saturday I hung out with some very good friends. I recently made a new friend who I just instantly clicked with. I love her to death! We have a great time together. It's nice to find someone who is really just so much like you. We went out and had fun and then last night she came over and another friend came over as well. There were more people that were supposed to come but I think everyone was tired from the weekend. It happens! We had fun anyway. I was glad to have the chance to let off some steam after a very tiring week.
I have to point out this is my first year back at full time school since being sick. I don't have the energy I once had. I know I can get it back but you see, I spent a year in bed. I lost any muscle tone I had built up. It kills me thinking about it. I worked so hard to get in shape but then ended up lying up in bed for so long. Now I get tired much more quickly. My feet get numb and turn blood red when I walk for long periods of time. I feel like everyone can see my red feet. haha I elevate them and they instantly go back to normal. I get some shock sort of sensations in the feet too when I walk a lot. I know I need to do it anyway. It's a matter of time and eventually I believe I'll feel as healthy and in shape as I once did. I need to join a gym and really start working out again. I feel it may be the only thing to really help me.
I am going to do homework now and hopefully relax with the hubby tonight. Enjoy the pics from my weekend! :)

A Short Scare and a Goofy Baby Girl
Baby girl. You know I write that and she very much IS my baby girl. She still looks like a baby, but technically I don't think she is. Well she'll be two on November 17th. That's the miracle baby's second birthday! She will have to get used to always being my baby girl!Anyway back to the point of this post. She really is getting big. She seems so smart to me. She has a memory that I don't even think I have! She remembers everything and words you tell her once. She'll remember it later. Obviously only if she wants to but like bananas. I told her what they were once while feeding her one. Today while strolling through the grocery store Gabbi spotted the bananas and started yelling "Nana! Yummy!!! Nana! Yuuummmy?" So of course I bought some.
We get out to the car and I decided to give her a few bites and have a few myself. So she took a few bites and I kept reminding her to chew. She is so bad about wanting to just swallow. Of course she did and began to gag. I of course got nervous and had to pat her on the back a couple of times. It wasn't really serious just coughing for about 4 seconds. That's enough to make any mom pause and worry. Well she coughed it up and immediately, literally no breath in between motioned for the banana and screamed "Nana!!! YUMMY!!!"
"Sigh". Mom panics.....baby wants more banana. Typical.

What Would YOU Do?
I wrote yesterday about Gabbi's milk allergy and the stolen cookie. Well last night around supper time she had diarrhea. Oh yeah poop talk! Well look away if you don't like it. haha I didn't know if I should feel that could be from the cookie she had eaten early that morning. Then it happened again and again. It was not large quantities but enough to make her sore, poor thing. She has been getting over a cold and did run a slight fever on Saturday but it disappeared fast. So I was questioning this huge coincidence. Was it the milk? Or did she not have enough for it to be even from the milk? It was one vanilla wafer. Was it the end of a virus?
Well the doc just called and said her allergy test results came back normal for everything! So now I want to believe it could be over but this whole diarrhea thing has me very uncertain. I think what I'll do is wait and make sure that whole episode has passed. She hasn't had any since about 3 a.m. So I will wait and then start introducing new foods with a bit of milk in it. I am nervous about it though. I really am regardless of the test. She had no vomiting but sheesh. Why can't we just get a break? haha
